A leading US-based company, ORYX ADVANCED MATERIALS is a rapidly growing manufacturer of exotic materials used to create thin films. The industries we serve include photovoltaics, magnetic data storage, flat panel display, wear coatings, glass coatings, etc. The company employs a variety of material processing technologies to produce sputtering targets of advanced metallic alloys and ceramics.
Sr. R&D Engineer
Responsibilities:
• Conduct material, process and product development projects in powder metallurgy and related fields.
• Provide technical support to Engineering and Sales/Marketing.
• Provide technical support during customer interactions.
• Utilize materials characterization techniques for product development.
• Technology transfer between operations in the US and Malaysia.
Qualifications:
• Master Degree in metallurgical engineering or materials engineering is a must. PhD Degree highly preferred.
• Must be able to plan, organize and conduct R&D projects using internal and external resources and facilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to work in a “hands-on” environment.
