Buyer
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Buyer position is primarily responsible for supporting procurement of assigned commodities to meet for best value, on time delivery and high quality. This role requires knowledge of key electro-mechanical commodity markets, contracting and negotiations. Main responsibilities include:
- Coordinate and ensure timely procurement of materials to meet production needs.
- Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions as needed.
- Actively participate in cross-functional teams to find new sources, supplier selections and negotiations.
- Obsolescent notification to Operations and Engineering
- Engineering Change Management coordination with Operations and Engineering
- Strong coordination with Planning/Scheduling to ensure material schedules line with revenue requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions
- Update Material Master, SAP data
- Work with suppliers and manufacturing team to ensure cost, delivery, quality requirements are met
- Work with manufacturing team to optimize supply chain
- Timely disposition of MRB and ECM material
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong knowledge and experience with ERP systems (SAP experience highly desired)
- Knowledge of materials master databases
- Proven ability to work effectively with systems and components vendors and suppliers at all levels
- Strong negotiation skills
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree desired but not required (preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the field of procurement
Manufacturing Engineer
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manufacturing Engineers manages and assets risk of Product Life Cycle for products throughout all Phase Gate process by identifying exposure to key issues for each Phase Gate:
- Phase 1(Concept) – provides early vendor and supplier input along with the input of new and or similar manufacturing process of the concept presented, highlighting probability of success through risk assessments and mitigation.
- Phase 2 (Feasibility) – gives early input to engineering using DFx and DFMA processes and identifying Key supplier requirements. Estimate’s cycle times based on Proof of Concept designs and create processes for manufacturing based on FMEA. Develops preliminary QA plan for 1st article inspection and process tracking.
- Phase 3 (Development) – drives PLC requirement and performs proof of manufacturing on beta systems, ranking of supplier selection, i.e. weak and or unique single source conditions. Creates robust test plans for manufacturing and scales up production for release to manufacturing. Develops and designs tooling and fixtures based on capital equipment requirements and updates risk and mitigation plans
- Phase 4 (Scale-up) – continues to drive PLC requirements and demonstrates all proof of manufacturing activities and PLC management, including ECO Management, QA metrics and Key Performance Indicators, i.e. (First Pass Yield, In Box Quality, Out of Box Quality, material Obsolesces, Scrap and BOM management, etc.).
Manufacturing Engineering leads and transitions subsequent in- sourcing strategies if required into Operations and work closely with Product Development, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineer for sustaining products along with Product Development and Operations internal customers to:
- Provide sustaining engineering expertise and project management of in-sourcing strategies, including sustaining production requirements, quality improvement, and project management such as product transition, cost reduction, inventory reduction, and or sourcing change.
- BOM Maintenance, Engineering Changes, Design Improvements, Lean Manufacturing, DMAIC, DFMA and DFx on NPI
- Execution of manufacturing quality improvement strategy through final functional verification process (Final Test), managing non-conforming parts in process (NCMR), and closed loop corrective action (CLCR)
- Lead strategic planning for Test, Manufacturing, and process creation.
- Development of Manufacturing Documentation, Tooling, and Test Fixtures for both contract manufacturing and operations.
- Identify and execute on opportunities for Gross Margin improvements through Risk and Mitigation plans per PLC and sourcing strategies.
- Lead projects related to Best Cost Manufacturing and aligned with business objectives. Examples may include Insourcing, Outsourcing, and/or Cost Reductions – Value Engineering.
- Lead product ownership from Proof of Manufacturing through Obsolescence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 5+ years’ current experience using cad design systems (Solid Edge preferred)
- Project management experience
- Good engineering analytical skills in order to design and build tooling and fixtures for mechanical or electrical/electronic models.
- Ability to generate a range of solutions and choose the most appropriate.
- Good understanding of the qualities required of any good design.
- Good organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to use design programs
- Able to travel domestic or internationally

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- B.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years current experience preferred, in Mechanical and automation assembly designs, including Manufacturing Engineering background using DFMA/DFx process for design and fabrication.
- Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering metrology background and product transition into operations preferred
Receiving Inspector
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Must be able to make complex setups using Surface plate.
- Hand metrology tools including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, gages, pins, Height Master, and other tools.
- Inspect cables using the Cable Eye or equivalent equipment and software.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing inspection of highly complicated parts, materials, components and equipment as materials are received from vendors or subcontractors
- Participating in Continuous Improvement Activities
- Working from drawings, and specifications.
- Assisting or determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection
- Effectively communicating with the Operations Team (i.e., Manufacturing Engineering, GSM, Production, and Design Engineering) regarding drawings on technical issues
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds (~22kg)
- Ability to use standard metrology hand tools, CMMs and the cable tester; understand how to perform continuity tests on cables

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum Diploma. Degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in receiving inspection required.
Senior Buyer/Supervisor
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Test Technician
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the integration and qualification of complete and partial systems for various Bruker product lines. Each system is assembled and tested to a specific customer order requiring timeliness of completion and accuracy of configuration. This job includes troubleshooting and the correction of mechanical and electrical problems and requires skill in these areas. The position requires an ability to work productively individually or as part of a group.

- Ability to perform corrective actions based on test results
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system issues
- Ability to perform electrical and mechanical precision alignment, i.e. z-corrections as well as pitch and linearity corrections
- Interfacing with ME and R&D on prototype builds and testing, with limited written instruction
- Basic computer skills; Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting skills; Technical aptitude
- Basic mechanical abilities required.

EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Typically requires 2-4 years of related experience in a manufacturing testing environment.

Assembly Technician (Electro-Mechanical Assembler)
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary responsibility of an Assembly Technical (Electro-Mechanical Assembler) is to build sub-assemblies that will be then integrated into complete systems. This position would be required to read detailed drawings and work instructions to successfully complete these assemblies. The ability to work well as part of a coordinated team is also a requirement.

Warehouse Clerk
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The warehouse clerk has responsibilities to maintain inventory and material flow from the point of material be received through to the point it is packed for shipment.
Main responsibilities include:
- Ability to properly handle all types of parts and components
- Receiving and storing sub-assemblies and raw materials in the warehouse.
- Packaging and Crating of sensitive systems and parts
- Ability to operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Good organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Good clerical, data entry skills to maintain the integrity of records.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to work standing, sitting and walking for the majority of a scheduled shift.
- Must be able to push cart holding up to 50 lbs (~22kg) occasionally.
- May be asked to lift up to 50 lbs (~22kg) occasionally.
- Job requires frequent bending, stooping and kneeling.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Diploma with two years related shipping experience preferred.
- Experience in fast pace technical manufacturing environment preferred.
