Resident Engineer – Housing Development Division (Contract)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university with 8-year working experience in various public and structural (C & S) fields, especially high-rise, landed, and public buildings and factory buildings.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in handling computers, especially Microsoft Office software, Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.
Job descriptions:
- Monitoring and checking all structural and quality works.
- Issue memo and Non Compliance Request (NCR) to contractors for work not complying with the contract requirements and specifications.
- Monitor & advise contractor regarding the rules of works for civil and structure to be compliant with the contract requirements and specifications.
- Assist Project Manager in monitoring the site progress and update the information of contractor work progress at project site & liaise with local authority during inspection at the project site.
- Monitoring the issues related with safety & health at project site.
- Record & collect the information and document such as Method Statement, Material Construction Approval and all related documents.
- Attend the meeting with contractor, consultant and all meeting related with project site.
- Assist consultant to handle the issues at the project site & revised construction plan.
- Checking & verify all progress claim from contractor for payment purposes.
- Prepare the Monthly Progress Report at project site for submission to management.
Resident Engineer – Design & Development Division (Contract)
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering (Civil / Structural) or equivalent.
- Proficient in Bahasa Melayu & English.
- At least 8 Years of working experience in the related field is required for this position (Construction industry).
- Able to liaise effectively with consultants, contractor and familiar with JKR, CIDB, local authority, external department regulations and inspections procedures especially on CCC.
- Familiar with common construction material, architectural material and method of construction.
Job descriptions:
- Inspect and supervise the testing works, examine drawing, specifications and project schedule in accordance to contract provisions.
- Attending site meetings and providing minutes of meeting, attending other coordination meetings and any other technical tasks provided.
- Coordinate and liaise with the contractors and consultants on all aspects of the job.
- Provide technical advice to field staff in order to ensure that construction procedures are being carried out properly.
- Monitor and report the work progress, work quality and project cost on a regular basis.
Project Engineer (Contract)
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Civil and Structural) accredited by the Malaysian government.
- Minimum two (2) to four (4) years experience as a project engineer.
- Past experience in landfill closure and landfill management is an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office software’s.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
Job descriptions:
- Assist the Project Director/Project Manager with all project duties.
- Assists in preparation and implementation of Project Execution Plan (PEP).
- Attends all Co-ordination as well as Progress Meetings (Internal as well as with Contractor and Client).
- Assisting preparation of minutes of meetings and updating of project progress in ICT system.
- Provide full support as required by the management and project management team.
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes of practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
- Monitor performance of the project and co-ordinating with the contractor and project management team to ensure smooth running of the project.
Clerk of Work (Contract)
Job Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Architecture/ Civil Engineering.
- At least 4 years of working experience in the construction industry.
- Able to liaise effectively with consultants, authorities and contractors.
- Experience in high rise residential projects will be an added advantage.
- Able to read, interpret and understand engineering drawings, works method, specifications, shop drawings and other works related documents.
- Able to maintain record, reports and observe work progress.
- Familiar with common design requirements, good engineering practices. Working experiences in design office is an added advantage.
- Familiar with common construction materials.
- Familiar with JKR, CIDB and local authority regulations and inspection procedures
- Able to work extra working hours when necessary.
Job descriptions:
- Responsible for the supervision and monitoring of construction works in accordance with the contracts and construction drawings.
- Conduct daily coordination, inspection and monitoring contractor’s works and Maintain site daily/COW report.
- Report non-compliances, monitor mitigation / remedial works, supervise on site tests and monitor/witness off site material testing.
- Attend site meetings, other coordination meetings and any other technical tasks given.
- To keep all relevant forms, documents, correspondence and records in respect on the progress of work such as daily work record which encompasses labour force, machinery and weather records.
