Position:
Mechanical Product Engineer
Job Description(s):
- Research and analyze customer design proposal, specification, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, stability and other requirement of design or application.
- Provide technical advice on company product application and selection to customers.
- Develop and maintain strong functional relationships across multidisciplinary teams/ customer to anticipate future design requirements and interfaces.
- To ensure the designed product can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments.
- Develop and execute mechanical design verification test plans per requirements specifications to ensure prototypes meet design requirements.
- Discuss and solve complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers, partners and customers.
- Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Requirement(s):
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding) or equivalent.
- Know-how with a common engineering CAD package and ProE a plus.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, English.
- At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the consumer electronics field is required for this position.
- Experience with plastic injection molding/ metal stamping/ die cut converting industry is preferred.
- Excellent problem solving and time management skills.
- Good mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- The ability to deliver a solution to the customer’s need through your design.
