Senior Electrical Engineer (Power Amplifier)
Job Descriptions:
- Support Motorola Infrastructure HW Power Amplifier product design for base station.
- Job scope cover power amplifier circuits, simulation and analysis, design implementation and optimization, thermal and stability analysis, test certification and system level issue troubleshooting or fixing.
- Other responsibility is to execute and review design requirement and specification, simulation and test plan, participate in design review and work closely with other design team globally.
Job Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering, or related disciplines. Advanced degrees with MSc/M.Eng or PhD specializing in areas relevant to product design will be an added advantage.
- Must have a basic understanding in RF High power amplifier design and implementation.
- Must know how to utilize RF equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, load pull system, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters.
- Knowledgeable in RF simulation experience in ADS/PSPICE/SI tool
- Control system or close loop feedback circuit techniques
- High power and high linearity test system design and implementation.
- Design Knowledge:
o Knowledgeable in Low cost RF power device packaging, characterization and application.
o Large signal PA modeling. Experience in non- linear modeling at circuit and layout design.
o Knowledgeable in Cartesian Feedback linearization techniques.
o Knowledgeable in use of high power RFICs in paralleled or combined configurations for all gain stages (not just single ended driver applications).
o Familiar with supply voltage management for optimum performance in multi-modulation capable power amplifiers.
o Automated device characterization (VHF to 1GHz) using load pull system.
- RF and EMC:
o Knowledgeable in design capability for RF signal integrity
o Knowledgeable in module shielding integrity and assembly
- Must be willing to work in Bayan Lepas, Penang
