Digital Design Section Manager
Job Descriptions:
- Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers in Penang Infrastructure Hardware division, designing Base Station, Routers and Console products.
- As a resource and functional manager, responsible for the engineer’s job allocation, skillset development plan and career growth.
- Identify gaps and coach for performance, in both technical and leadership development.
- Lead projects, working closely with Program Managers and Architects to meet program commitments, efficiency goals and defect prevention.
- Drive continuous improvement in process and innovation in development.
- Collaborate with local management team and global counterparts in operation and strategic planning.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Master in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, or related disciplines, with minimum 1 – 2 years experience in a management role, and minimum 7 years experience in design or product development.
- Strong knowledge in hardware development flow from schematic entry, layout, signal integrity simulation, to design verification and validation.
- Competent in Digital system design with experience in Microprocessor, FPGA and High Speed designs. Familiar with communication protocols such as Ethernet and USB.
- Experience in regulatory and manufacturing assembly is a plus.
- Experience in Project Management and Agile methodologies is an added advantage.
- Highly organized with good time management and ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
