Principal Staff Electrical Engineer
Job Descriptions:
- Responsible for design and development of highly sophisticated communication products for professional and mission critical markets. Specifically, the role is an Electrical HW engineer to develop RF sub-circuits to meet TETRA Specifications. This includes RF development in areas of receivers, transmitters, VCOs, amplifiers, filters and mixers circuit
- Responsible to lead device HW integration work of identified areas with SW engineers and experience in performing HW/SW product integration test during this integration phase.
- Responsible to perform RF testing and validation plan, as well as generating the detail documentation for test, product failures and resolutions for design changes
- Utilize Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including RF simulation in ADS/CST and Cadence tool, prior to releasing the PCB layout Gerber for fabrication.
- Work with a team of highly-qualified engineers to generate innovative ideas and design communication systems which include infrastructure, subscribers and accessories that meet customer requirements. These engineers will be working on sub-circuits that consist of RF, digital controller, power and audio circuits.
Job Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering, or related disciplines. Advanced degrees with MSc/M.Eng or PhD specializing in areas relevant to product design will be an added advantage, with a minimum of 9 years of experience.
- Excellent experience with prototype preparation and debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support.
- Must have experience in creating and influencing system specification documents.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver products from beginning to end in radio development.
- Possess good knowledge in design testing and report generation
- Well knowledge with various RF measuring equipments, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters.
- Must have some simulation experience in ADS/SI tool.
- Excellent communication, project management, planning and organizational skills, with ability to work in a team on complex cross-disciplinary systems.
