Senior Costing Accountant
Job Descriptions:
- To review inventory related transaction are proper accounted in General Ledger and perform necessary adjustment via manual journal entries for related issues
- To perform closing of Inventory Period
- To perform monthly inventory account reconciliation basis as per corporate submission deadline
- In charge of processing the quarterly cost reformation program and analysis
- Responsible for monthly Supply Chain inventory reporting and variance analysis
- Prepare and analyze NA and Canada Field Inventory and Excess and Obsolescence Reserve for quarterly review
- Work with IT on resolving various system issue mainly related to legacy system COF & Omar
- Participate and lead cost accounting related projects to ensure accurate accounting process flow implemented in Greenfield
- Subject Matters Expert for Greenfield short cycles business covering any cost accounting related subjects.
- To identify process improvement opportunities and simplify processes to improvement efficiency in day to day task.
- Key contact for operation/process flow related issue by providing advice and consultation with constructive solution specifically on cost accounting subjects, and ability to assess overall business impact.
- Responsible to provide training to cost accounting team member as and when necessary due to system or process changes.
- Support audit request
- Participate in any ad-hoc assignments
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor Degree or Professional Qualification in Accountancy or Finance
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin
- At least 5 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- In depth knowledge of ERP accounting process and system flow, preferably with Oracle system.
- Computer literate. Strong Microsoft Excel skill is mandatory.
- Preferably senior executive specializing in Finance-General/ Cost Accounting or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team player
