JA Solar Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Was incorporated in December 2014. This facility was launched in October 23, 2015 and is the first overseas production facility wholly-owned by JA Solar. JA Solar Malaysia covers an area of 29 acres. It currently employs more than 1500 staffs. It specializes in producing high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells, one of the company’s core products.
The Company in 2017 has supplied the solar modules to Malaysia’s first utility-scale 50MW solar power farm in Sabah. The energy from the sun that is harnessed from JA Solar’s products is clean and free of any pollutants; unlike various sources of energy present today like coal and natural gas. Equipment Senior Engineer/Manager Assistant
JA Solar’s manufacturing activities is process-type manufacturing, closely related to the semi-conductor industry. The production equipment covers processes such as texturing, diffusion, etching, vapour deposition coating, lasering and screen printing. Manufacturing operations run continuously. The equipment department ensures that all the production equipment are maintained well and can operate with maximum uptime. The person hired would assist the equipment department manager in all aspects of department operations including supervision, coordination, optimization and training of the department employees and daily work tasks. He would also provide technical leadership and direction to the team, prepare and execute equipment upgrade plans.
Job Descriptions:
- Assist manager in day-to-day operation for the equipment department, including coordinate, control and improvement.
- Monitor day-to-day operation for the equipment department and report to manager if identified any issues.
- Monitor technicians and engineers to ensure that the delivery of the equipment, including uptime rate, cost, safety, improvement and training are achieved the target of the company.
- Ensure timely and quality technical deliveries.
- Establish the preventive plan
- Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks.
- Coordinate and supervise a wide variety of projects and oversee projects from start to finish.
- Schedule and coordinate the project related work in order to meet the design specification.
- Ensure the project delivery is on time and within budget.
- Able to guide the team through the development, testing, implementation stages, report preparation and review the completed work effectively.
- Work closely with engineers and from various other disciplines and ensure all the regulations are met.
- Work closely with maintenance and project team to improve the performance of the equipment.
Job Requirements:
- Candidates must possess at least a bachelor degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Automation)
- Candidates must have at least 10 years’ experience in related field. System setup experience, technical (hardware & software) knowledge and process knowledge. Candidates must also have at least 5 years’ experience in people management.
- Candidate must be independent, self-motivated, committed, ability to interact, team player and team-lead.
- Candidate must be strong in analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in handling complex of technical development concepts, latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts and designing techniques.
- Candidate must understand different programming languages and has the ability to solve problems in coding, testing and deployment.
- Computer literate (eg. Microsoft Word/Excel/ Powerpoint)
- Mandarin language fluency is required. Reporting is in Chinese to the base General Manager who is from China and HQ in Beijing. Also, there is constant technology sharing with other manufacturing sites in China.
