    Production Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager

    JA Solar’s manufacturing activities are process-type manufacturing, closely related to the semiconductor industry. The production department runs continuously with over 1,000 headcounts, mostly local workers. The person hired would assist the Production Manager in all aspects of manufacturing operations including planning, organising and managing the production department to ensure the KPIs are achieved. To carry out the role well, he would need to have a thorough understanding of product delivery, material planning, quality assurance, resource utilization, plant upkeep, maintenance and safety.

    Job Descriptions:

    1. Assist in monitoring all processes and resolve all related issues with other departments to ensure optimum production output, quality, productivity and yield.
    2. To develop, monitor and execute a capacity plan for the department and ensure the target output is meet based on planning.
    3. Able to plan & organise department activities as required by the Production Manager and management.
    4. Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met.
    5. Monitoring and control of technical efficiencies of production processes and attain the targeted costs and savings.
    6. Carry out and review the department, section and group’s performance assessment and organize necessary interventions for improvement
    7. To review and manage the consumption of major materials in order to reduce the manufacturing cost.
    8. Responsible to provide the training to Line Leader and evaluate the effectiveness of the operator training program.
    9. Liaise and work together with other departments to solve customer complaints.
    10. Communicate and liaise with headquarters Production Planning Department and participate in the related meeting.

    Job Requirements:

    1. Required qualification, skill and experience
    2. Education level: At least Diploma, Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics or equivalent.
    3. Year Experience: At least 10 year(s) experience in related field.
    4. Capability: Proactive, able to work with a hugh degree of independence and initiatives. High level of integrity, resourceful, personal drive and ability to communicate well. Must have experience managing a team.
    5. Skills:
    • Requires proven skills in leading /managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics.
    • Must be self-motivated, focused, and able to work in a team environment.
    • Good leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels.
    1. Mandarin language fluency is required. Reporting is in Chinese to the base General Manager who is from China and HQ in Beijing. Also, there is constant technology sharing with other manufacturing sites in China.
