Histotech Engineering Sdn Bhd were incorporated in the year 1992 to provide quality precision tooling products for the local semiconductor test and assembly industries. Since then, we have expended from a small rented shop lot in town to a medium manufacturing factory to serve our customer better.
Combining years of experience in making precision tooling, spare parts & metal stamping of process carrier for the assembly of chips. We emphasize on quality services, on time delivery and the expertise from our dedicated and committed team.
We’re the high end mechanical integration services provider. We design and manufacture the mechanical parts for the international market.
Manufacturing Engineer
Responsibilities & Objectives
- Analyze the current practice of production by observing operations, conducting comprehensive research, interviewing suppliers and using information about the product and its parts.
- Develop alternative methods of making manufacturing practices more efficient and cost effective: look at space constraints, material requirements and current needs in order to improve.
- Develop new ways of producing products for new or current ventures by utilizing findings from research, knowledge of the product, expense information and company goals.
- Review quality standards of each product to make sure there are no problems: test all material extensively to analyze how each item meets the standard.
- Propose the best use of production timelines, equipment and supplies to Department Head and company leaders, by providing details about what the company’s manufacturing goals should be in the months or years ahead.
- Consolidate all data, documentation and information related to the production system in a detailed for internal use.
- Maintain all company equipment in top working condition by scheduling all repairs, keeping up on recommended maintenance and diagnosing any issues that appear.
- Generate an accurate database of all production details and data.
- Continue to develop professional expertise and proficiencies by periodically participating in classes, conferences and other developmental opportunities.
- Provide solutions to leadership when presented with manufacturing concerns.
- Maintain work area clean, safe and orderly.
- Compliance to rules and regulations, SOP, WI, and ISO 9001 standards.
- Additional ad-hoc instructions from Management and/or HOD.
Qualification and Experience
- Degree in engineering with coursework in the manufacturing process.
- Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in relevant positions.
- Knowledge of computer design, engineering software, FMEA.
- Experience with project management and planning is preferable.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good planning, organizational and time management skills.
- Good spoken and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
