    Position Objectives:

    • All QA checks, processing and pre-assembly of purchase orders are to schedule, to an agreed standard with high attention to detail.
    • QA documentation is detailed and accurate for traceability.
    • Activities in QA, assembly and packing cells are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with health and safety requirements and procedures.
    • ERP (Odoo) processing is accurate and timely.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Promote work-place safety and ensure your workstation is kept clean, tidy and free of clutter at all times.
    • Use all hand and power tools, air dusters and sewing machines in a safe manner.
    • Operate sewing machines as required.
    • Report actual and potential quality and health & safety issues to team leader in accordance with company procedures.
    • Ensure all plant and equipment in QA is well maintained and stored appropriately
    • Keep up to date with changes to product profile, manuals, assembly processes, quality standards and packaging changes.
    • Attend and contribute at daily toolbox meetings and other meetings as necessary.
    • Assemble and pack all components correctly according to inwards manufacturing orders (IMOs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Using, product standard docx, work instructions, online Vault engineer drawings and ‘golden’ samples, carry out QA check of each product line prior to pre-assembly or transfer to the warehouse. Ensure these checks are documented with accuracy and the correct procedure followed for any non-conforming products. The inspection level of each product will determine the specific number of items needing to undergo full inspection.
    • Pack each finished product in suitably sized bags / boxes as per SOPs and label correctly with detailed labels prior to transfer to the warehouse.
    • Complete all Odoo processes accurately to reflect QA and Pre-assembly activities.
    • Monitor and maintain stock levels for miscellaneous and consumable items in QA / Pre-assembly zone using the Kanban system to trigger replenishment.
    • Assist with other assembly and packing related tasks within the company.
    • Understand and uphold company standards and procedures.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Diploma level education.
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of the written and spoken English language.
    • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment preferable but not essential.
    • Competency in Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel.
    • Knowledge of ERP software systems.
    • Experience with sewing would be an advantage but is not essential.

    • Flexible and willing to help with other assembly and packaging related tasks.
    • Proven MOJ clearance: this will have to be maintained during employment with SSBL.
