Senior/ Junior Software Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Design Schematics – PLC programmers draw schematics that show how electrical components and panels work together to accomplish a process (Logic Flow Diagram). They also examine existing drawings and double-check them for reliability and manufacturability.
- Write and Document Programs – After drafting a diagram of the process, PLC programmers use automation software and a programming language (such as ladder logic) to write the program. They prepare documentation for the
- program’s intended use as well as safety instructions.
- Test Programs – Before installation, PLC programmers determine test criteria, then test the new program for reliability and safety with automation equipment. They are also responsible for testing programs and equipment developed by internal and / or external teams.
- Install Programs – When the program is ready to be fully integrated with equipment, PLC programmers are there to oversee successful installation. Upon complete they shall test run the equipment’s. They provide guidance and support to technicians during the installation process, then train them in safe and efficient operation of the program.
- Technical Support – PLC programmers provide ongoing technical support to users within the company and outside customers, both verbally and by writing or revising operation manuals. Should any problems arise, they troubleshoot the program and create solutions. Fine-tuning the productivity and dependability of their program is an ongoing project.
- The automation control system logic, control requirements and screens would be provided, candidates need to program and communicate with person-in-charge for commissioning and re-programing purpose
- Familiarize with the current and available trends and / or technology on Industry 4.0
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time
- Maintain standards of safety and comply with the Company’s health, safety and environment management systems requirements.
- Ad-hoc duties when assigned by superior.
Requirement
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/ Mechatronic) or equivalent.
- Strong self-assured, independent, team-player and to work in a fast pace environment.
- Good knowledge of Engineering standard operating procedures and proficient Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Automation or relevant fields.
- Preferred with Automation design background.
- Familiarity with Commissioning & Programming principles and practices.
- Required skill and knowledge in C++ Language, Allen Bradley PLC software.
