Quality Assurance & QMS Manager
Job Description
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Resolve production-related quality issues by starting a problem-solving process with the production side.
- Keep abreast of current and upcoming regulatory requirements.
- Provide training, resources, and procedures to help others reach the quality level, as well as advice on improvements and how to apply them.
- To take responsible as QMS Management Representative of the company
- Implement, oversee, review, and report on the performance of the Quality Management System, as well as the product data.
- Facilitate and/or collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand stakeholder needs (determine as-is state and desired to-be state).
- Create audit strategies, and carry out departmental and vendor audit tasks.
- Examining finished product results and quality reports, along with a factory inspection to verify SOP adherence.
- To attend to the customer’s feedback and complaints and liaise with concerned departments for improvement and action plans.
- Assure fast resolution of quality-related concerns and customer feedback through efficient corrective actions.
- Initiate and organize preventive steps by reviewing and analyzing customer complaints, internal quality issues, and other relevant data for ongoing quality improvement.
- Develop a training plan and related materials for the quality department and implement the training program and monitor the effectiveness of training.
- Lead, manage, and inspire QA teams to meet quality goals.
- Ascertain that the ISO team maintains the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IS0 13485, and IATF16949 certifications.
- To accept or reject the product’s release, holding back or releasing output.
Experience / Skill Required
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
- 8 years of experience in a manufacturing line, with 3 years experience in a managerial role or key leadership position, and good working knowledge of Quality Management / Quality System Audits.
- Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001, IS0 13485, and IATF16949.
- Knowledge of environmental, Occupational, Automotive Quality Management, and Safety & Health systems will be added advantage.
- Strong leadership and abilities in leading a discipline and efficient culture for the department.
- Expert knowledge in QMS and hands-on experience in process improvement and quality improvement projects.
- Positive attitude, team player, good interpersonal and communication skills.
Supplier Quality Engineer
Job Description:
- Develop supplier towards meeting quality requirements. Emphasize on process control for defect prevention and escapee prevention. Conduct audit at supplier’s site.
- Ensure compliance to incoming inspection plan and on time execution. Educate and train QC inspectors to ensure high competency.
- Maintain and develops standards and methods for incoming inspection processes.
- Assures data availability and integrity for all incoming quality-related data. Consolidates and reports incoming inspection results.
- For quality issues, raise NCR reports to supplier and drive for quick corrective actions to prevent line down. Monitor and ensure timely closure and effectiveness of supplier’s corrective actions.
- Drive suppliers for continuous improvement plan.
- Team up with purchasing and process personnel in qualifying or disqualifying suppliers.
- Review FAI reports, 8-D reports, COC and COA from suppliers for compliance.
- Escalate requests for incoming non-conforming material to the SCM and immediate supervisor. Ensure timely disposal of MRB/held inventory.
- Develop supplier towards meeting quality expectations by applying quality tools.
- Establish a systematic training system for IQC inspectors.
- Handle internal and customer complaints related to supplier quality, closely track supplier 8-D CA reports and analysis reports, and close complaints to customer quality engineers within set goals.
- Rate the Supplier Quality performance on monthly basis and collate for monthly & quarterly performance reporting.
- Interface with all departments as applied to the Policies and Procedures with special regard to ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001 and ISO 13485 documentation.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Material/ Physics/ Chemistry)
- Required skill(s): Minitab, 8D report writing
- Knowledge in QC core tools, IATF16949, ISO9001, Quality Management system, PPAP, FAI, CPK, MSA, FMEA and control plan is essential.
- Knowledge in ISO 4001 & OHSAS 18001, Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
- At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in Quality Assurance function.
- Able to comprehend and interpret part drawings and technical instructions.
- Experience working in a highly dynamic product development environment as well as a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in automotive field is a plus.
- Self-motivated and self-discipline.
- Proficiency communication skills and able to work independently and as a team player as well as interact with people at all levels.
