Backed for the eighth year running, Queensbay Mall’s Vogue For Virtue 2016 aimed to continue making charity fashionable, which comprises of two major highlights – the month-long Model Search which started from 2 April 2016; as well as the Charity Fashion Show With Celebrities that will take place at 7.30pm on 16 April 2016 at the mall’s Central Atrium.

In essence, Vogue for Virtue is an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to help the less fortunate children, where proceeds from CapitaMalls Asia (CMA) will be channeled to the selected charitable organisations.

Queensbay Mall’s Vogue For Virtue has gained much confidence and support from the fashion retailers and also the top home-grown inspiring celebrities over the years. While many returned to join the event to support the good cause, new faces were introduced this year to take over the runway on the Charity Fashion Show With Celebrities and be role models to all the aspiring fashion models.

This year, the mall once again is set to wow guests and shoppers with its concerted effort in bringing out the ambiance and experience of an avant-garde runway showcase. The main stage will be dressed up in clean-cut tapestry with attentive care given to every minute detailing.

It will be a night to remember with Serena C as the host of the evening, and guests will be ushered into contemporary ensembles with an edgy yet beautifully tailored showcase for the brave and the bold. The runway will feature celebrities including Debbie Goh, Wilson Tan, Jeffrey Cheng, JC Chee, Amelia Henderson, Allan Toh, Lynn Lim and Shir Chong who will strut down the runway with premium brands which are exclusively available in Queensbay Mall within the Northern Region of Malaysia.

In line with the Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to building a better future for underprivileged children, a total of RM20,000 will be donated equally to four charitable organisations – Penang Shan’s Children Home Association, Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya Pulau Pinang, Children’s Protection Society Pulau Pinang and The National Autism Society of Malaysia (NASOM).These contributions are aimed to create awareness and offer financial assistance to support the development programmes of charitable organisations that provide shelter, education and healthcare to underprivileged children or those from dysfunctional families.

Vogue For Virtue 2016 Model Search

The Audition Days on 2 & 3 April 2015 welcomed a total of 200 participants, comprising of both adults (male and female) and children.

In view of new elimination rounds and subsidiary titles, hopeful participants are expected to up their game to vie for the titles and a share of over RM4,800 worth of cash and prizes during the Grand Final that will be held on 17 April 2016, 2pm on Ground Floor (Central Atrium) at Queensbay Mall.
