JA Solar Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. Was incorporated in December 2014. This facility was launched in October 23, 2015 and is the first overseas production facility wholly-owned by JA Solar. JA Solar Malaysia covers an area of 29 acres. It currently employs more than 1500 staffs. It specializes in producing high-efficiency crystalline silicon solar cells, one of the company’s core products.
The Company in 2017 has supplied the solar modules to Malaysia’s first utility-scale 50MW solar power farm in Sabah. The energy from the sun that is harnessed from JA Solar’s products is clean and free of any pollutants; unlike various sources of energy present today like coal and natural gas. We are proud to be able to contribute towards saving the environment and reducing dependence on fossil fuels.
Facility Engineer (Gas & DI Water)
Responsible for the company in Deionized Water, Bulk Gas, Specialty Gases and other related piping design and installation including daily operation, maintenance and repair work to ensure the functionality of the system.
Job Descriptions:
- Monitor and carry out daily maintenance for DI water, specialty gas and gas systems based on the standard operating procedures (SOP) so that the operation is always optimal.
- Monitor performance of shift leader in carrying out yearly, monthly and weekly preventive maintenance schedule and arrange maintenance and improvement for the in charge area.
- Responsible to plan for DI water, specilaty gas and gas systems preventive maintenance schedule and carry out the plan accordingly. Besides, he is responsible to manage the required spare part and raise OA to purchase the required spare part from superior whenever necessary.
- Responsible to draft the standard operating procedure and work instructions for the in charge area. Besides, he needs to teach shift leader on the new implementation.
- Responsible to ensure the preventive maintenance job is done and all the operations in DI water, wastewater treatment, specialty gas and gas are in optimum condition to fulfil the requirement of production.
- Analyse the quality of preventive maintenance job done and report to superior immediately when there is any abnormality in DI water, specialty gas and gas systems.
Job Requirements:
- Education level: At least Diploma or above and a bachelor degree in Chemical engineering or equivalent.
- Competency and experience: Minimum 3 – 4 year(s). Knowledge in Gas systems and air piping installations. Relevant competency will be added advantage.
- Capability: Have a strong sense of responsibility, awareness, and good communication ability, organization, coordination, management skills, strong cooperation and team spirit, hardworking, diligent.
- Language, Malay, English & Mandarin to liaise with the counterpart from China
- Skills:
- Strong technical and analytical thinking with problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with Microsoft office software, AutoCAD, has strong learning and application of skills.
