    Histotech Engineering Sdn Bhd were incorporated in the year 1992 to provide quality precision tooling products for the local semiconductor test and assembly industries. Since then, we have expended from a small rented shop lot in town to a medium manufacturing factory to serve our customer better.

    Combining years of experience in making precision tooling, spare parts & metal stamping of process carrier for the assembly of chips. We emphasize on quality services, on time delivery and the expertise from our dedicated and committed team.

    We’re the high end mechanical integration services provider. We design and manufacture the mechanical parts for the international market.

    Senior Design Engineer

    Responsibilities & Objectives:

    • Carry out detailed mechanical design work including assembly drawings, and design verification testing.
    • Responsible for:
    • Specification compliance of designs.
    • Mechanical part selection taking into consideration obsolescence, availability and cost.
    • Preparing and presenting mechanical designs at design review.
    • Generating minutes from design review when required.
    • Meeting design to cost figures.
    • Carrying out design change requests in a timely manner.
    • Ensuring the mechanical design output fits in with all other aspects of the design.
    • Handling all orders
    • Reporting progress of all assigned tasks to the Business Development Director.
    • Checking drawings/part libraries are up to date and correct regularly at common server.
    • Checking and validating engineers designs and drawings where required.
    • Creation of technical reports and documentations as required.
    • To work closely with Mechanical Engineer, Project Engineer, operation and production team to ensure products are designed for manufacture.
    • Highlight all mechanical technical risks to the Business Development Director.
    • Take technical lead on specific projects and agree technical approach with Business Development Director.
    • Keeps up-to-date with the latest manufacturing techniques and drawing standards.
    • Liaises with Business Development department to ensure the required information is available when needed and customer request are dealt with in a timely manner.
    • Compliance with departmental processes.
    • Available for on-site customer support as required.
    • Coaching and supporting Mechanical Engineers in design techniques and the departmental processes.
    • Identify any personal or mechanical team training needs and propose suitable courses.
    • Regularly review the departmental design processes and identify any updated required.

    Qualification and Experience:

    • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of Relevant Work Experiences.
    • Ability in reading, understanding & producing technical drawings.
    • Experience in using Auto Cad & SOLIDWORKS.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Good problem solving skills.
    • Ability to take the lead in challenging situations.
    • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
    • Proactive and self-motivated.
