JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities :
- Understand the requirements from business partners and the needs of target customers, translate the concepts into technical requirements and develop the REST services to support mobile application.
- Work together with business partners, mobile developers and project managers and produce backend services.
- Ignite innovative ideas, initiate and lead development projects.
- Responsible for Research & Development (R&D) of mobile technology to provide mobility solutions to accommodate in house business needs for logistics supply chain relevant mobile applications that targeted for both in house users and customers.
- Lead the mobile R&D team in the conceptualization, design, implementation, testing and publishing of application into App Store.
- Ability to understand the requirements from business partners and translate the requirements into technical specifications according to the target customers.
- Lead the white box testing (a.k.a. code review) of the system development cycle.
- Understand and practice the design development principles agreed by the mobile application team.
- Recommend cutting-edge technologies in automation which will bring in business values for the team.
- Ability to select the right tools for the development process for a given project.
- Assist the project manager to understand the technical feasibility of the requirements.
- Maintain good development skill, stay up-to-date with the latest technology, tools, and development standards.
- Knowledge and experience sharing within and across the team.
Requirements :
- At least Bachelor / Master Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Required Skills : Objective C, Swift (X code), Java, Dot Net C#, HTML5, JavaScript and SQL Lite.
- Familiarity with tools for developing native and hybrid mobile application/ built in API for mobile to leverage on the Bluetooth, GPS Receiver, Gyro, NFC and other services provided by IOS / Windows smartphones is an added advantage.
- At least 2-3 years of experience is required. Age between 24 to 45 years old.
- At least few years of experience in software development with testing and deployment for mobile applications (iOS / Web App) for enterprise user or consumer market.
- Knowledgeable in database design, backend development and prototype design.
- Creative and willingness to enhance new ideas and methodologies.
- Experience in AGILE software development including continues integration.
- Creative, innovative and open-minded personality.
- Proactively communicate the project status to the stakeholders and development team.
- Work collaboratively within and across the team as needed.
- Work closely with the project manager and the designer, follow-up on the project plan.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and team skills.
- Able to accept and give constructive feedback.
- A good problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English is a MUST.
